Well if you know anything about this industry at all, you know it’s basically a self help fuelled one isn’t it?
When an eager 16 year old Bradley J. Sugars asked the legendary Business Philosopher Jim Rohn at his seminar one night, “Mr Rohn, how do I become successful?” Jim answered: “Read A Book A Week For The Rest Of Your Life”. Think about it…
Everyone’s trying to sell you their “Free e book, Now With Added Love” or training course or lead generation program or whatever and it’s all good and well to build up your library but if you don’t apply what you learn in those books courses and programs you’ve flat out wasted your money and your time haven’t you? A common saying people use might be “Knowledge Is Power” but really it should be “Applied” Knowledge Is Powerful. What’s that statistic? Around 90% of people that buy these things don’t even read them or listen to them. And out of the 10% that do about 1 to 3% apply the information to their lives. What a waste!
When I first signed up to my business opportunity a little while back now, I’d been self employed for 3 years already. The way I learnt about business was from a guy who literally drove me from place to place for the first month or so helping me set up my legals and meeting my customers for the first time. He said Hi Dave, this is Peter Montgomery, the guy I told you about, he’s your technician now, so when your Xerox needs a service here’s his number on this sticker. (That we placed on the machine there and then). A whopping 14 customers. That’s it…
I’d set aside $15,000.00 grand to start that business. $5500.00 was spent on my Twin cab ute. (Pick Up Truck) Another $5000.00 or so for my tools, clothes, parts, laptop etc… and I had around $4000.00 in the bank to pay for rent, food, bills and whatever else came up until my business kicked off. Not really a smart move I guess but I was determined to never be employed again in my life! So…
My first 2 weeks went by and I got 1 or 2 jobs and I thought cool, people are trusting me enough to use me. I’m in business. Then I got the Chicken Pox. Now if you’re a kid and you get it, it’s no big deal, you’re itchy and spotty for a couple of weeks and then you’re done. For an adult it’s waaaaay different. It completely flattens you. I was the sickest I have ever been in my life. It hurts every cell in your body to the core. You’re insanely itchy, in and out of fever and completely bed ridden. It REALLY HURTS!!! I was in bed for more than 3 weeks straight with NO money coming in. NONE. And my bills still had to be paid.
That was a baptism of fire let me tell you. Finally I’m up and running again and person by person my business builds and I start learning how to be a business person. My mindset is being altered day by day from my experiences and my friend shows me what he knows and I’m loving it. The thing is though, it was all off the cuff, by the seat of my pants. I had no real systems. What ever my friend did, I did. That’s how he ran his business so…
3 years later I’m maxed out, I can only work so many hours, do so many service calls and make so much money. I have about 150 to 200 clients but I’m limited by time and space. There’s only one of me. Long story short I try more than 21 different ways to change my situation but because my “Business Education” was all modelled on the self employed way of doing business, my strategies were all limited too. Have you heard of a book called THE SECRET?
Well I hadn’t, but when I look back on the process I’ve been through to get me where I am now, I can see it in action. You attract what you desire. I don’t know if it’s as all mysterious as people think it is though, and frankly some of that book is outright blasphemous. I only read it a few months back and really enjoyed it and learnt a lot from it. (You don’t have to agree with something to learn from it).
If your mind is set on a course, nothing will stop you. As I was searching the net, an opportunity to learn some new strategies was presented to me and I took it with both hands and ran as fast as I could. It was a free 6 hour seminar presented by a guy called Peter Sun. He’s a business coach and trains people to be business coaches. HE KNOWS HIS STUFF! And has several divorces and tragic stories to back it up! He knows now love comes first. Anyway, this seminar promised to show you…
How to develop a *$1 million net profit per year business…Even if you don’t have a product or cash today
I thought YES! that’s what I want and signed up on the spot…sort of, read this after you finish this article. I now had some valuable information to work with. It was my first puzzle piece you could say. Each piece leads you to the next and it just keeps going on like this. I started researching him and found a free course he gives on his website called “78 free and low cost ways to add at least $17,000 or 27% to your small business profits in the next 90 days. Which also includes Copywriting formulas and a ‘Copywriting Power’ Questionaire. This is my first business book I ever owned and I just devoured it over and over again and applied some of it (and profited form it). I’m Hooked. While I was researching him some more, a clever networker used his name as a keyword and I was introduced to our glorious industry. This industry has answered all my business problems or I should say has provided me with every business solution that I’ve needed? I signed up to my company the week before Peter Sun’s seminar.
I was just absolutely primed for this industry when I found it. You know how people talk about lay down sales? That’s an understatement for me. I was screaming out for this business and the thing is, I had to pay an application fee of $50 just to look at what this opportunity was…I think you know the company I mean! I thought to myself “What’s $50 if this can save me from my situation?” I payed it in a second because I’m an entrepreneur. It’s just the way we are. It’s just money. That was the best $50 investment I EVER spent on my business because it helped me to lay the foundation of my future. Remember how I said each new piece reveals the next?
As I’ve dug deeper I’ve learnt how important your Business Education is and how Books provide you with insights you could never have imagined if you just tried to wing it or relied on only one source of information. Imagine if I just followed my first business mentor’s advice of “Just get more customers and do more work” when I asked him to help me figure it out. Since that first down loaded ebook ”78 free and low cost ways to… I have been introduced to so many leaders and have done thousands of hours of training on webinars and paid courses like MLM Traffic Formula 2 and read so many books and it all started with my trying to avoid the pain of being stuck in a business with no leverage and my desire to find a way out no matter what.
Here’s what I’m going to do for you…
I’m going to list a bunch of the books and courses I’ve leveraged to get me where I am today and My aim is to be the next link in your chain of events that keeps you moving forward on your journey. I want to be featured in your story. I want you to say something like “And then I found this guy online called Peter Montgomery who showed me this book (or course or program or what ever) and man, ever since that moment I’ve ………….. you know what mean? So here it is in no particular order with links for you to go read a review and buy it from amazon or from me:)

And I think that should get you started for now…All this information is now in my brain and many times over in some cases. The important thing I’ve found is that you MUST take action on what you learn as soon as you learn it. Make this become your habit. Imagine…
If I didn’t take action and try 21+ different things first, if I gave up after 2 or 3 or even 19. I would never have discovered Peter Sun online and I would never have discovered this industry when I did and I would never have discovered all this information that I have just shared with you in ONE Sitting that took me over a year and a half to find my self. I have effectively shortened your learning curve by at least a year if you take action, Invest your money on your education and apply everything you learn.

I’ve recently been introduced to Pete by a mutual friend. My strength is in customising CSS layouts and integrating social networking, web development for small business and SEO analysis……
Very experienced in the google suite of services particually analytics.
However, my weakness is in marketing myself.
I will be looking to Pete on how to more effectively market my skillset.
My business is Web2au.

Right on James,
$100,000 well spent too I reckon!
It doesn’t even have to cost you money. The
right amount of time down the library will
get you started if you’re broke.
Thanks for popping by mate.
